Mothers for Orphans (Madzimai Enherera) Inc.

Christali supports "Mothers for Orphans" - if you want to find out more about children and young people in Africa living with HIV, AIDS or the devastating effects HIV and AIDS  has had  - and if you choose to,  how you can help - then follow the link below for details of our friend, Constance Polain's fight to support  AIDs orphans in Zimbabwe. Constance believes education is integral to the solution of the crisis that these children face ... and they are dying while we are thinking about it. 

The UN estimates that there are 780,000 children between 0-14 years old orphaned by AIDS in Zimbabwe. Less than 4,000 of these are cared for in registered orphanages. Many are cared for by grandmothers. Alternatively, older orphans may look after younger siblings in the family home, recieving food from neighbours for working in the fields. Less fortunate orphans move to the larger cities and towns where they support themselves through begging, prostitution and petty crime.

Chris and Ali contribute a percentage of the sale price of every mini-bred goat we sell to support Constance and her work.
